Gen AI Azure Tech Architect (RARR Job 5334)

We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and AI/Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience architecting and implementing enterprise-grade solutions using Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Monitor, and Azure App Services. Additionally, the architect must possess strong capabilities in modern AI paradigms like Azure Document Intelligence, Azure OpenAI, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Embeddings, Langchain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, and Agentic AI systems.

The candidate should be a strong communicator, capable of interfacing with clients, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering quick Proofs of Concept (POCs) where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect scalable and secure AI and cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Lead the design and implementation of AI/Gen AI applications, including: Document extraction and analysis using Azure Document Intelligence.
• Language model integration using Azure OpenAI.
• Building RAG pipelines, custom embeddings, and vector store integrations.
• Implementing agentic frameworks like Langchain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, or CrewAI.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to gather requirements and define solution blueprints.
• Guide the engineering team through implementation phases, providing technical leadership and mentorship.
• Own end-to-end architecture decisions – including data flow, security, observability, and scalability.
• Prototype solutions and lead rapid development of POCs to validate approaches.
• Ensure integration with broader enterprise systems and coordinate with other service lines as needed.
• Support performance tuning, cost optimization, and monitoring using tools like Azure Monitor.

Required Skills and Experience:

Cloud Expertise (Azure):

• Strong experience with Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Service Bus, Azure Monitor.
• Proven ability to build secure and scalable microservices and event-driven architectures on Azure.

AI & Generative AI:

• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI Service.
• Expertise in Azure Document Intelligence for document parsing and extraction.
• In-depth knowledge of RAG architecture, embeddings, vector databases.
• Proficient in Langchain, LlamaIndex, and at least one orchestration framework like LangGraph or Crew AI.
• Knowledge of chatbot development and multi-agent systems.

Architecture & Communication:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, present solutions, and align on priorities.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and working across service lines.
• Ability to balance hands-on development and high-level architectural thinking.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall experience in IT, with at least 5 years in solution architecture.
• 2+ years of experience in AI/Gen AI space.
• Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
