Job Description

The Level 3 Dynatrace Analyst will technically lead the team, drive advanced observability, and align monitoring insights with business priorities. This role serves as the primary escalation point for L1/L2 teams, provides strategic recommendations, manages critical incidents, and ensures the monitoring platform delivers actionable insights that support business outcomes. Strong product fundamentals and technical expertise are required to bridge complex technical issues with business impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technically lead and mentor L1 and L2 support teams, providing guidance, knowledge transfer, and escalation support

  • Demonstrate strong product fundamentals and technical understanding of Dynatrace and associated observability tools

  • Administer Dynatrace Managed environments, including cluster management and best practices

  • Provide L3 support for Dynatrace APM, including incident analysis, root cause identification, and resolution of complex application and infrastructure monitoring issues

  • Manage customer escalations and participate in customer calls as required

  • Configure and maintain dashboards, alerting profiles, tagging, synthetic monitors, and business transactions

  • Set up and manage ActiveGates for custom plugins, extensions, and synthetic monitoring

  • Onboard and manage OneAgents for OpenShift and Kubernetes workloads

  • Configure and manage Real User Monitoring (RUM) for applications

  • Troubleshoot issues, perform log analysis, and drive resolution to closure

  • Handle SSL certificate renewals and removals, perform port checks, and verify firewall connectivity

  • Work with Dynatrace Support to raise, track, and resolve support tickets

  • Manage incidents, service requests, change requests, and problem records

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for monitoring enablement and ensure adherence to performance monitoring best practices

  • Perform Kubernetes and OpenShift administration; demonstrate exposure to AWS and GCP environments

  • Automate routine maintenance and deployment activities using scripting (Python, Shell) and infrastructure-as-code tools

  • Participate in service improvement initiatives and contribute to refining monitoring standards and operational processes

  • Analyze trends and provide proactive recommendations for dashboards, problem detection rules, and monitoring coverage

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles

  • Stay updated with Dynatrace product features, industry trends, and observability best practices

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Java, .NET, or other application frameworks and their monitoring requirements

  • Apply strong troubleshooting skills in distributed and cloud-native application environments

  • Collaborate with business teams to translate technical insights into actionable recommendations

  • Maintain a strong understanding of ITIL and ITSM workflows, including incident, change, and problem management


Mandatory Dynatrace Certifications

  • Dynatrace Associate Certification

  • Dynatrace Professional Certification

  • Preferred: Advanced Dynatrace certifications focused on cloud monitoring (AWS, GCP, Azure)
