Job Description

Role Purpose

The Dynatrace L3 Production Analyst is a senior production support role responsible for providing deep, real-time observability insights during live production incidents in a 24x7 Indian banking environment. The primary responsibility of this role is to actively participate in production and troubleshooting bridges and drive faster diagnosis and recovery by sharing Dynatrace-based insights, observations, and evidence with application teams, support teams, Incident Management, and senior bank leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Join production incident and troubleshooting bridges for P1 and P2 incidents on a 24x7 basis
  • Analyze live production issues using Dynatrace during active incidents
  • Identify and communicate performance degradation, transaction failures, latency, and abnormal behavior
  • Perform deep-dive analysis across application, middleware, database, infrastructure, and network layers
  • Correlate technical symptoms with business impact and user experience
  • Provide clear, fact-based observations and hypotheses to application and resolver teams
  • Guide cross-functional teams using Dynatrace evidence to accelerate troubleshooting and resolution
  • Support Incident Managers with impact validation, recovery confirmation, and technical insights
  • Communicate confidently with senior bank leadership during high-severity incident bridges
  • Validate service restoration and system stability post-fix
  • Provide monitoring timelines, observations, and evidence for post-incident reviews
  • Identify recurring patterns, systemic issues, and observability gaps
  • Recommend improvements to monitoring coverage, alerting, and instrumentation

Role Boundaries

The Dynatrace L3 Production Analyst provides technical and observability leadership during incidents but does not own formal incident governance, prioritization, or closure. Incident ownership and lifecycle management remain with the Bank’s Incident Management function.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 5–8+ years of experience in production support, application performance monitoring, or observability roles
  • Strong hands-on experience using Dynatrace in live production environments
  • Proven experience supporting P1/P2 production incidents in banking or regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of distributed application architectures and dependencies
  • Hands-on exposure to middleware, databases, infrastructure, and network troubleshooting
  • Experience working on incident bridges with multiple resolver groups
  • Ability to translate Dynatrace data into actionable troubleshooting guidance
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, especially during high-pressure incident scenarios
  • ITIL Incident and Problem Management knowledge (preferred)
  • Dynatrace certification (Associate or Professional)
