Job Description
The Level 2 Dynatrace Engineer will focus on configuration, tuning, and administration of Dynatrace Managed for enterprise-scale applications. You will ensure the observability landscape is accurate, optimized, and actionable, manage OneAgents, ActiveGates, dashboards, and integrations, and act as a bridge between L1 monitoring operations and L3/platform teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dynatrace Managed Administration and configuration
• Configure and maintain dashboards, tagging, synthetic monitors, and business transactions
• Define, tune, and optimize problem detection rules, thresholds, and event correlation to reduce noise and improve actionable alerts
• Implement custom metrics, health checks, and ensure full application and infrastructure coverage
• Perform OneAgent upgrades and Cluster Node upgrades
• Onboard OneAgent for OpenShift & Kubernetes workloads based on monitoring requirements
• Set up and manage ActiveGates for custom plugins, extensions, and synthetic monitoring
• Configure integrations with ticketing, notification, and automation tools; create scripts or API-based automation for configuration management
• Set up RUM (Real User Monitoring) for applications
• Troubleshoot issues, perform log analysis, and drive resolution to closure
• Handle SSL certificate renewals/removals, port checks, and firewall connectivity verification
• Work with Dynatrace Support to raise and track tickets from creation to closure
• Manage incidents, service requests, change requests, and problem records
• Participate in application and platform changes, validating Dynatrace coverage post-deployment
• Act as a technical escalation point for L1 engineers and coordinate with L3/platform teams to resolve complex issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for monitoring enablement
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including alert reduction and suggestions for dashboard, alert, and coverage enhancements
• Identify training gaps and highlight training requirements to Team Lead and Management
• Work in AWS and GCP environments; basic Linux OS knowledge and troubleshooting
• Ensure adherence to best practices for performance monitoring
Good to Have:
• Shell scripting and Python automation experience
• Experience creating custom monitoring solutions using Dynatrace extensions

Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
