Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of Painting plant and Powder Coating Equipment, AHUs, Conveyor, Transporter, Scrubbers, Blowers, Dust Collectors, and Fume Extractors.
  • Prepare 2D & 3D models, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects.
  • Carry out cost estimation, proposal engineering, and quotation preparation.
  • Support the sales team with technical offers and costing sheets.
  • Work on custom equipment design and product development as per client requirements.
  • Coordinate with the production team, vendors, and suppliers for design feasibility and cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety norms.
  • Maintain technical documentation, project reports, and as-built drawings.

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong expertise in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, sheet metal design).
  • Hands-on experience in fabrication drawings, ducting layouts, and structural design.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel (advanced formulas, costing sheets, estimation templates).
  • Exposure to project costing, BOM preparation, and vendor coordination.
  • Familiarity with industrial ventilation and air pollution control equipment design.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Background:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree / diploma.
  • Experience in Surface Coating, Powder Coating, Air Handling, Conveyor, Oven, Transporter, Dust & Fume Extraction, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and custom equipment manufacturing.
  • Ability to work independently and lead design projects.
