DataStage Support Specialist (RARR Job 5516)

We are seeking a DataStage Support Specialist with 5–7 years of experience in Unix/Linux scripting, BMC Control-M, and DataStage development. The role involves providing advanced application support, performing production deployments, debugging, and conducting root cause analysis to ensure smooth functioning of business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for application processes and automation.

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot BMC Control-M jobs, calendars, and workflows for reliable batch processing.

• Support production deployments, including application debugging and root cause analysis of incidents.

• Monitor application health and performance, ensuring timely resolution of issues and service requests.

• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for incident resolution and enhancements.

• Document technical procedures, workflows, and resolutions for compliance and knowledge sharing.

• Provide on-call support for 24x7 availability of critical applications.

• Apply industry best practices in proactive monitoring, automation, and process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Mandatory:

  • IIS DataStage (development & support)

  • ANSI-SQL

  • Dimensional Data Modeling

  • Unix/Linux Shell Scripting

• Secondary:

  • BMC Control-M

• Strong experience in DataStage debugging and production deployments.

• Solid understanding of application support methodologies and incident management.

• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
