Job Description

 

  • Packaging electrical components within the vehicle layout..
  • Proficient in using Catia V5 and its various modules
  • Possess a strong understanding of drawing preparation, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis
  • Experienced in the packaging of 2W, 3W, and 4W automotive products
  • Have a good understanding of how electrical layout can impact part failure.
  • Experienced in both manual and automated wire routing
  • Co-ordination with CFT teams for Proto vehicle management w.r.t EE part layout and updation
  • Reviewing the vehicle layout to ensure appropriate placement of electrical components.
  • Importing ECAD data into MCAD for wiring harness routing purposes.
  • Developing concept designs for both plastic and metal parts required for packaging the electrical components.
  • Defining the assembly process and providing ongoing support to the assembly team for its implementation.
  • Utilizing CATIA V5 R21 and its relevant modules, including Part Design, Assembly Design, Electrical Parts Packaging, and Drafting, for these tasks.
  • Generating necessary drawings for components, wiring, and overall architecture, and subsequently uploading them to the PLM system..
  • Conducting tolerance stack-up analyses at the vehicle assembly level.
  • Ensure CAD based layout on actual vehicle build/Proto
  • Change detail observation and updating CAD Layout11.
  • Proto Vehicle management w.r.t. all EE Proto parts and updating on vehicle in case new parts.
  • Basic electrical functionality checks using user manuals, electrical instrument etc.
  • Develop the electrical layout according to the established guidelines.
  • Create potential solutions for any conflicts that arise during the layout process.
  • Draft any new guidelines that may be necessary based on the current project.*
  • Perform a tolerance stack-up analysis for the mounting components
  • Perform manual wire routing according to the established guidelines.
  • Execute auto routing using the provided ECAD data
  • Create the assembly manual.
  • Prepare the component and assembly drawings.
  • Release the aforementioned drawings.
  • Draft the patent documents
