We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented professional to lead the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Solar Sales vertical. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and closing opportunities for rooftop and open-access solar projects in the C&I segment. The role demands a strong understanding of solar energy solutions, commercial structuring, regulatory knowledge, and a proven ability to drive end-to-end sales cycles.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets in the C&I segment (Rooftop & Open Access).
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across commercial and industrial sectors.
Lead client engagement from lead generation to proposal, negotiation, and closure.
Conduct detailed site assessments, energy audits, and coordinate with engineering teams to design optimal solar solutions.
Structure customized PPA, CAPEX, and OPEX (RESCO) offerings based on client needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including corporate clients, consultants, and channel partners.
Stay updated with government policies, incentives, DISCOM regulations, and market trends in the solar domain.
Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance reviews to management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams like engineering, finance, legal, and project execution for seamless delivery.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including corporate clients, consultants, and channel partners.
Strong understanding of solar technology, project finance, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting.
Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/MBA in Renewable Energy, or a related field.
A minimum of 12 years of experience in the solar or renewable energy industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or business development role.
Proven experience in leading large-scale solar projects and managing business units.
Certification in Business Development in renewable energy is a plus.
