Job Description

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Designer Engineer with proven experience in designing rooftop and commercial solar PV projects. The role involves preparing accurate and efficient design layouts, drawings, and documentation to support project development, execution, and installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare 2D/3D AutoCAD drawings for rooftop and commercial solar PV systems including:
    • Site layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), mounting structures, cable routing, and electrical schematics.
  • Develop designs based on site survey reports, structural assessments, shading analysis, and safety standards.
  • Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and clients to deliver optimized solar system layouts.
  • Create as-built drawings post-installation and maintain proper documentation.
  • Support in preparing Bill of Materials (BOM) and cost estimation for commercial and rooftop projects.
  • Ensure compliance with national/international codes, safety norms, and client-specific requirements.
  • Optimize solar PV system designs for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • 3–4 years of experience in AutoCAD design, with exposure to rooftop and commercial solar PV projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, PVsyst, or similar solar design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV system components, structural and electrical layouts.
  • Familiarity with structural load calculations, rooftop safety guidelines, and commercial project design challenges.
  • Strong analytical, detailing, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in EPC companies handling commercial and rooftop solar projects.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (IS, IEC, NEC, NBC, etc.).
  • Experience in utility-scale solar projects will be an added advantage.
