AS400 Developer (RARR Job 5641)

We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer to join our team for a key engagement. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in development, maintenance, and technical design on the iSeries platform, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software development and maintenance activities following SDLC and Agile methodologies.

• Work on technical design and program-level development for complex systems.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using RPGLE (Free format), SQL RPG, and CLLE on the iSeries (AS/400) platform.

• Perform coding, debugging, and testing using tools like RDI, RTC, ARCAD, and ensure version control and software integrity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using JIRA, HP Quality Centre, GSD, and Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery.

• Develop and maintain programs using MQ for message queue-based integrations.

• Ensure timely delivery under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in AS/400 (iSeries) platform.

• Expertise in RPGLE (Free Format), SQL RPG, CLLE, and DB2/400 SQL.

• Experience with Agile software development methodology.

• Exposure to JIRA, RDI, RTC, ARCAD, Jenkins, HP Quality Centre, and GSD.

• Working knowledge of MQ programming.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Self-starter with strong ownership and flexibility.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in RESTful API development using IWS on iSeries.

• Knowledge of test automation tools such as RPGUnit, XFramework, or TOSCA.

• Exposure to Connect:Direct or SFTP integrations.

• Experience working on Banking or Financial applications.
