Application Monitoring (Site 24/7 ) Expert (RARR Job 5542)

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Monitoring Expert with deep experience in managing and optimizing monitoring for high-traffic e-commerce platforms using Site24x7. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, availability, and reliability of our digital storefronts, APIs, and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end monitoring strategies using Site24x7 for web, mobile, and API-based e-commerce applications.
• Configure synthetic transaction monitors to simulate key user journeys (e.g., login, search, add to cart, checkout).
• Set up and fine-tune real-user monitoring (RUM) to capture customer experience metrics.
• Monitor application performance using APM Insight and integrate with backend services and databases.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify stable element locators for scripting.
• Analyze alert trends, reduce false positives, and improve incident response times.
• Generate daily/weekly reports on uptime, performance, and SLA compliance.
• Act as the primary liaison with Site24x7 support for advanced troubleshooting and feature enhancements.
• Develop and maintain custom dashboards for business and technical stakeholders
• Integrate Site24x7 with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) for automated incident creation and tracking.
• Conduct regular audits of monitoring configurations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and contribute to post-incident reviews.
• Provide training and documentation to internal teams on monitoring best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support peak traffic events (e.g., sales, product launches).
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to monitoring strategy and tooling.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience with Site24x7 (mandatory).
• Selenium Scripting
• Strong understanding of application and infrastructure monitoring concepts.
• Experience with synthetic monitoring, real-user monitoring (RUM), and log analysis.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.

Mandatory certification (if Any):

• Site24x7 certification (if available).
• Selenium certification – a strong value add, especially for synthetic transaction monitoring and automation.
• Azure Infrastructure Fundamentals certification – beneficial for understanding and integrating monitoring with Azure environments.

Good to have skills:

• Knowledge of scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Shell) for automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills.
