Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom APM scripts to monitor application health, transactions, and performance metrics
- Design, build, and optimize dashboards in Splunk and Kibana for real-time insights and troubleshooting
- Create automated alerts, correlation rules, and thresholds using Splunk scripting and APM tools
- Integrate APM tools with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring frameworks
- Write Splunk queries (SPL) and custom scripts to extract insights from logs and metrics
- Work closely with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to identify performance bottlenecks
- Troubleshoot application issues using data from Splunk, Kibana, and APM logs
- Document monitoring standards, custom scripts, and dashboard logic
- Support performance testing teams with instrumentation and observability scripts
Key Skills & Technologies:
APM & Monitoring:
• Experience with APM tools (such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or custom solutions)
• Strong understanding of APM scripting for metrics collection and synthetic transactions
• Proficiency in instrumenting applications (via agents, APIs, or code-level integrations)
Logging & Visualization:
• Hands-on experience with Splunk (SPL, dashboards, reports, alerts, scripted inputs)
• Working knowledge of Kibana, ElasticSearch, and log data visualization
Scripting & Automation:
• Experience writing Splunk scripts (e.g., modular inputs, saved searches, custom alerts)
• Basic to intermediate scripting in Python, Shell, or JavaScript is a plus
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD integration is a plus
