AGM/DGM – Plant Logistics Head (RARR Job 6327)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced logistics leader to head end-to-end plant logistics operations at our Nashik manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics, dispatch planning, warehousing, transportation, inventory movement, freight optimization, and coordination with production, sales, and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complete logistics operations for the manufacturing plant.
• Manage inbound raw material and outbound finished goods movement.
• Ensure timely dispatches and customer deliveries.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Stores, Procurement, and Sales teams.
• Drive transportation planning through road, rail, and multimodal logistics.
• Optimize freight costs and improve logistics efficiency.
• Manage warehouses, stockyards, dispatch yards, and inventory movement.
• Develop and monitor logistics KPIs, service levels, and turnaround times.
• Lead transporter and vendor management activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and mentor the logistics team at the plant.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of experience in steel, pipes & tubes, or heavy manufacturing industries.
• Strong experience in plant logistics and dispatch operations.
• Exposure to high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Experience with SAP/ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
