Role – Sr.AWS Integration Engineer
Shift: AUS, Remote Mode
JD:
Skills and Experience: Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience with at least 6 years in hands-on AWS integration/serverless development.
Expert-level proficiency in AWS SQS (Standard and FIFO), SNS (topic-based and filter-policy subscriptions), and Lambda (Node.js runtime, Layers, Destinations).
Strong experience with Amazon API Gateway (REST and HTTP APIs), including custom authorizers, stage variables, and canary deployments.
Advanced Node.js skills (ES2020+, async/await patterns, native modules, npm ecosystem, unit testing with Jest or Mocha).
Solid understanding of IAM roles, policies, resource-based permissions, and VPC networking for Lambda.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using CloudFormation, SAM, or AWS CDK (TypeScript/JavaScript preferred).
Proven ability to work as an independent lead, owning architecture decisions and delivery timelines without day-to-day supervision.
Strong experience designing event-driven, serverless integration patterns including message routing, fan-out/fan-in, dead-letter queue handling, and retry policies.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for serverless workloads using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, or equivalent tooling.
Preferred Qualifications
Domain experience in Utilities, Energy, or related regulated industries (electricity, gas, water, renewables).
Familiarity with utility-specific systems: CIS/Billing, SCADA, ADMS, MDM, OMS, GIS, or DERMS.
Prior experience migrating integrations from MuleSoft, TIBCO, or similar middleware to AWS-native services.
AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect – Professional, Developer – Associate, or DevOps Engineer – Professional.
Hands-on experience with Amazon EventBridge, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and Kinesis.
Familiarity with security and compliance standards relevant to utilities (NERC CIP, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
Experience with API governance, versioning strategies, and developer portal management.
