Unix L2 (NCS/Job/ 3856)

Provide L2 support for HP-UX servers in Production, UAT, and DR environments.

Monitor server health, availability, CPU, memory, filesystem, and performance.

Perform HP-UX OS administration, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and security settings.

Perform OS startup, shutdown, reboot, and patch management activities.

Analyze system logs and resolve OS-level issues.

Manage filesystems, LVM, disk expansion, and storage allocation.

Perform backup and recovery activities and validate backup status.

Execute routine maintenance activities and health checks.

Create and maintain  shell scripts (basic to moderate )for automation.

Work on incident, service request, change, and problem management tickets.

Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.

Coordinate with application, database, network, and storage teams for issue resolution.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of HP-UX 11i v3 administration.

Experience with LVM, filesystem management, and storage administration.

Knowledge of ServiceGuard clustering (preferred).

Experience with patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Understanding of SAN, backup tools, and monitoring tools.

Familiarity  (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
