Tendering and Estimation Engineer (NCS/Job/ 2203)

1. Tendering & Estimation

• Study and analyze tender documents, architectural drawings, and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for civil, interior, electrical, HVAC, and related works.
• Source, evaluate, and compare vendor/sub-contractor quotations for all trades.
• Prepare and submit tender proposals within deadlines.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.

2. Pre-Bid & Post-Bid Activities

• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand project scope and site conditions.
• Clarify technical and commercial queries with clients, consultants, or contractors.
• Prepare tender clarifications and compliance statements.
• Support negotiations and assist management in finalizing pricing strategy.

3. Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to validate quantities and specifications.
• Maintain a database of material, labor, and subcontractor rates for accurate future estimations.
• Prepare rate analysis and maintain tender documentation and correspondence.
• Track tender status, submissions, and outcomes.

4. Cost Control & Reporting

• Assist project teams in preparing budget forecasts and cost control reports.
• Review project costs post-award to ensure alignment with tendered values.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of commercial interior fit-out materials, finishes, and services.
• Proficiency in reading architectural and MEP drawings.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, Bluebeam – optional).
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
• Attention to detail and strong time management.
