Job Purpose 

  • Castrol are establishing a global capability hub (BTC) in Pune, which will support delivery of the global strategy 
  • The BTC is an integral part of the global supply chain operating model. 
  • This is a fast-paced role in a new and exciting part of the global supply chain with an opportunity to shape a new team, new capabilities and digital tools to deliver real business outcomes. The role will work extensively with leaders across the Supply Chain. 

Supply Planner - to manage the replenishment of finished goods across the supply network in our Performance Units. This role ensures the right finished goods stock is in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and supply chain efficiency, by owning the replenishment and production plan of finished goods and raw materials across all our warehouses, source plants for a given portfolio of products. 

This position requires proven supply planning experience, combining strong analytical skills within our digital planning tool (Kinaxis Maestro) with having the ability to foster positive relationships with supply chain planning colleagues both in Pune and in the markets. 

Key Accountabilities 

 

  • Develop and execute Finished Good supply replenishment plans to balance supply and demand across regional warehouses and stocking points in our PU, and ensure appropriate dependent demand is placed on our manufacturing and source sites using our Planning tool, Kinaxis Maestro 
  • Carry out medium to long term supply network projections to identify constraints and possible mitigations to feed recommendations into the PU Supply Review of S&OP 
  • Support short term DRP deployment planners in facilitating resolution of any short-term constraints 
  • Own and ensure appropriate planning data is updated in line with global planning governance requirements (lead times, service levels, replenishment parameters)  
  • Develop and manage mid-to-long-term production plans across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and inventory targets.  
  • Identify medium to long term constraints through carrying out Robust Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), to feed the monthly Supply Review conducted by the PU S&OP Manager 
  • Ensure inventory availability while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence. 
  • Identify and mitigate risks such as stockouts, overstocking, and supply constraints. 
  • Collaborate with deployment planners, production planners, procurement, and PU Supply Planning Delivery leads in the market to ensure seamless product flow. 
  • Support the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes by working closely with PU S&OE Planning Delivery Leads, and PU S&OP Manager, providing insights and recommendations to resolve supply constraints and deliver improved availability balanced against cost and inventory 
  • Monitor and analyze Supply planning KPI’s like Inventory, IFOT, DIFOT etc.

Job Holder Requirements 

(Minimum education, experience & capabilities) 

 

Experience 

8-10 years in supply planning, replenishment, or inventory management within FMCG, food & beverage, or manufacturing industries. 

 

 

  • Proven experience in Supply Planning using an advanced digital Planning tool, desirably Kinaxis Maestro 
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain software (Kinaxis Maestro highly desirable) and ERP systems (SAP ECC, S4 Hana, JDE) 
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work effectively stakeholders in supply chain in both India and other countries 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 

 

Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 

Willingness to work in the allotted shift

Role to be based out of the Pune office – 3 days a week
