Job Description

  • Develop and implement SHE policies, plans, and procedures in alignment with project requirements.
  • Establish and manage the SHE organization and committee at the site.
  • Conduct SHE orientation, training programs, and awareness sessions for all personnel.
  • Perform regular SHE inspections and audits; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Oversee accident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure emergency preparedness plans are in place and conduct drills periodically.
  • Monitor compliance for high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, and machinery guarding.
  • Liaise with contractors, agencies, and regulatory authorities for SHE compliance.
  • Develop risk assessments specific to AFC installation and operational hazards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and submit SHE reports to the employer as per contractual requirements.
  • Ensure SHE compliance during installation, testing, and commissioning of AFC equipment (gates, ticketing machines, validators).

 

Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

Candidate must meet one of the following criteria:

  • B.E / B.Tech with any other equivalent State and Central Govt. recognized full time Degree / Diploma in Safety.
  • B.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Maths) with one-year full-time advanced Safety Diploma or diploma in Safety Engineering
  • B.Sc. / Diploma in Engineering with Advanced Safety Management Diploma
  • Any Graduate or Diploma holder with 7 years of experience in a full-fledged SHE department of a Public Sector / Leading Private Sector / MNC
  • International qualifications like CSP (Certified Safety Professional), NEBOSH, MIOSH, MSISO etc.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in SHE management roles, preferably in large infrastructure or metro/railways/High Speed Rail /LRT projects.
  • Proven track record in implementing SHE systems and managing compliance audits

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of SHE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SHE documentation tools.
