Job Description
• Manage and optimize Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) modules, including service definitions, KPI creation, and glass table design to support business-critical services.
• Lead the onboarding of new data sources into Splunk ITSI, including Universal Forwarders (UF), HTTP Event Collectors (HEC), DB Connect, and Heavy Forwarders, ensuring data quality and alignment with ITSI requirements.
• Design and implement ITSI services, KPIs, and correlation searches to provide actionable insights into IT operations and service health.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, design ITSI solutions, and deliver dashboards, glass tables, and alerts tailored to business needs.
• Provide expert-level support for Splunk ITSI, troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability of the platform.
• Analyze ITSI service health scores and identify areas for improvement in service definitions, KPIs, and thresholds.
• Document ITSI configurations, processes, and best practices to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Train and mentor internal users on Splunk ITSI concepts, including service modeling, KPI design, and leveraging ITSI for proactive monitoring.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within ITSI to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with governance and security standards in all ITSI implementations and operations.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Hold an active Splunk Core Certification (Splunk Core Certified Power User or higher).
• 4+ years of Splunk experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Splunk ITSI.
• 5-10 years of overall industry experience in IT Operations, IT Service Management, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of ITSI service modeling, KPI creation, and glass table design.
• Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and translating business needs into ITSI solutions.
• Familiarity with observability principles and their application in ITSI for proactive monitoring and incident prevention.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain Splunk ITSI concepts and best practices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to analyze and optimize Splunk environments, identifying areas of poor or inefficient use of ITSI services.
• Strong understanding of governance and compliance requirements in ITSI implementations.
