Job Title:  Solix Enterprise Archiving solution Engineer

Designation: Data Engineer

Location: Mph- Bangalore, Chennai

Job Summary:

  A Junior Engineer for development within the Solix Enterprise Archiving solution focus typically supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of data retention and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) strategies.

Core Responsibilities

Technical Implementation: Configure archival jobs and build workflows using the Solix Archival Tool to move inactive data from production environments to secure archives.

Database Management: Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers across platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.

Data Integration: Develop scripts for data extraction and migration using Shell scripting (KornShell, Perl) and utilities like SQLLoader.

Application Support: Troubleshoot archival job failures, resolve SQL errors, and assist in de-archiving data back to native applications when required.

Compliance & Governance: Apply data retention policies and legal holds to ensure archived data meets regulatory standards.

Required Technical Skills

Primary Languages: Proficiency in Java (8 minimum,17 is Good, Spring/Spring Boot) and Python for automation and backend development.

Databases: Strong knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

Big Data Ecosystem: Familiarity with Apache Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, HBase) and data-loading tools like Sqoop.

Cloud & DevOps: Basic understanding of AWS or Azure services and version control tools like Git.

Web Services: Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Typically requires 0–3 years of experience for junior roles, though specialized "Archival Specialist" positions may require more focused experience.
