Role & Responsibilities

• Remote system administration
• Incident / problem determination and resolution on a 24x7 basis
• Incidence, Problem, Change and Configuration management
• Service incidents and queries within the agreed service levels
• Timely escalation of incidents to higher levels when required
• Perform Service Requests based on Standard Operating Procedures
• Work on scheduled tasks as part of Change Management
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly proactive housekeeping and monitoring activities
• Vendor co-ordination
• Follow quality / security process defined for the engagement
• Troubleshooting hardware errors / failure & Vendor coordination
• Automation of tasks using Shell / Perl scripting
• Proactive monitoring of error logs for patterns and capacity usage trend.
• OS hardening and patching based on security recommendations
• Software management
• Provide inputs for Weekly and monthly reports
• Work on Service Improvement plan
• Work with project teams for activities such as new server build, OS upgrades, migrations etc
• Create and maintain technical documentations
• Training of new team members
