12+ years of IT experience and minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake with extensive experience in leading the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-optimized data platforms. Candidate need to own end-to-end architecture and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions:

Roles and Responsibilities

• Requirement Analysis:
  • Understand business requirements and objectives related to data storage, processing, and analytics.
• Architectural Design:
  • Design the overall data architecture, considering factors like scalability, performance, and security.
  • Define data models, schemas, and integration points with other systems.
• Migration Strategy:
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for migrating data from existing systems to Snowflake.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and data loss during the migration process.
• Optimization Framework:
  • Optimize data structures and queries to ensure efficient utilization of Snowflake's capabilities.
  • Collaborate with database administrators and engineers to fine-tune performance.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with stakeholders, such as including business analysts, data engineers, and project managers, to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Governance:
  • Ensure that the project adheres to the Enterprise policies and standards.
  • Refine escalation hierarchy.
• Review and Certify:
  • Conduct a comprehensive review and certify project deliverables for phases/ completion.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Conduct meetings with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
• Design and document data models and architecture.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure the implementation aligns with the architectural design.
• Provide guidance on best practices for Snowflake usage.
• Evaluate and select appropriate Snowflake features and configurations.
• Participate in code reviews and offer feedback on implementation.
• Expertise in SQL, SnowSQL, write stored procedures and UDF
• Experience/Exposure to Snowpark, Cortex
• Knowledge in DBT/Coalesce or any ETL platform, BI Platform, DevOps, AI/ML/GenAI is value-add
• Keep abreast of Snowflake updates and incorporate relevant features into the migration plan.
