SME Routing and Switching (NCS/Job/ 2313)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Routing, Switching, and Network 
Security at the L2 level to manage and support enterprise-grade network infrastructure at our 
Itanagar location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day network operations, 
implementation, and troubleshooting with a focus on security and high availability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.
 Configure and support Cisco/Juniper/Aruba routers and switches.
 Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols.
 Handle L2-level support tickets, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.
 Collaborate with L3 engineers and vendors for escalations or project rollouts.
 Monitor network performance and generate regular health reports.
 Document network topologies, configurations, and incident resolutions.
 Ensure compliance with internal IT security policies and standards.
Technical Skills Required:
Routing & Switching:
 Proficiency with Cisco routing and switching (CCNA/CCNP level).
 Strong command of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, etc.
Network Security:
 Hands-on experience with firewall configuration and management (Cisco ASA, 
Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
Certifications (Good to have) if not also can process:
 CCNA / CCNP (Enterprise or Security) – Required or in-progress.
 Fortinet NSE / Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE – Preferred.
 ITIL Foundation – Advantageous.
Soft Skills:
 Strong communication and documentation skills.
 Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
 Ability to work independently and handle pressure in real-time environments.
 Flexibility to work in rotational shifts or on-call support (if required).
