Job Description

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — including researchers, visual designers, developers, and PMs — to design cohesive and high-impact product experiences.

Translate user insights into product concepts, flows, and interface designs that balance usability, accessibility, and visual polish.

Contribute to and apply design systems, ensuring visual and functional consistency across product ecosystems.

Participate in projects where AI enhances the end-user experience, advocating for human-centered and ethical design practices.

Create interactive prototypes and collaborate with researchers to test and refine solutions.

Present work to internal teams and clients, communicating design intent through a user-centered narrative.

Actively seek feedback, iterate quickly, and share learnings that strengthen the team’s overall quality of execution.

Product Design Craft-specific technical skills

Software Skills and Tools: Advanced use of Figma for design systems, prototyping, and collaboration, including generative prototyping tools such as Figma Make. Adobe Creative Cloud: Skilled in applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects, with growing proficiency in generative features such as Adobe Firefly and app-specific AI tooling.

User-Centered Design: Gather, synthesize, and apply user insights to create meaningful, accessible, and value-driven experiences.

Interaction Design: Design intuitive and consistent flows, leveraging established patterns while evolving them for new contexts and modalities.

Design Systems: Build and maintain scalable systems of reusable components and tokens that unify design and development workflows.

AI in Design Practice: Use AI tools to prototype, iterate, and explore creative directions more efficiently.

Designing for AI Experiences: Create transparent, explainable, and human-centered interactions with AI-powered features.

Usability & Accessibility: Advocate for inclusive design through adherence to usability heuristics and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2+).

Responsive & Multi-Platform Design: Design adaptable interfaces across screen sizes, devices, and contexts, ensuring coherence and performance.

Information Architecture: Structure content and interactions for clarity, findability, and flow across complex systems.

Prototyping & Testing: Create interactive prototypes for validation and learning, integrating user feedback to improve design outcomes.

Visual Design & Storytelling: Apply principles of composition, hierarchy, typography, and motion to communicate brand, emotion, and function clearly.

Technical Literacy: Foundational understanding of front-end languages (HTML/CSS) to support collaboration with developers and inform practical, implementation-ready design decisions.

Broad design competencies & soft skills (growing)

Client Relationship Management: Listens carefully to clients to internalize their point of view, and responding thoughtfully to feedback resulting in stronger client relationships and understanding.

Business acumen: Learns the nature of clients' domains or businesses, the problems they bring, and the financial implications of design decisions.

Futures Thinking: Engages clients and teams in envisioning and exploring potential future scenarios. Understands evolving user needs and market trends to anticipate and shape what's next.

Analytical Skills: Able to gather, interpret, and evaluate information to understand complex issues and make informed decisions. Break down problems, identifying patterns, and drawing meaningful insights from information.

Design Thinking: Engage and facilitate clients in a user-centric approach: discover and understand user needs; define key pain points and opportunities; brainstorm diverse solutions; rapidly prototype to make the solution come to life, and iterative test.

Presentation skills: Communicate design concepts and narratives, centering on user needs in a way that garners empathy for the end user and appeals to clients' business objectives.

Time & Project Management: Effectively prioritizes time on projects to tackle the most important tasks. Sets realistic deadlines, balances creative exploration with productivity.

Adaptability & Agility: Respond and adjust creatively and effectively to changing trends, user needs, and technological advancements. Act in a flexible manner in thought and approach, embrace new ideas, and continuously deliver in the face of change.

Cross-functional collaboration: Work successfully with a multidisciplinary team by actively listening, effectively conveying ideas, and integrating diverse expertise—from user research insights to technical feasibility—into a unified, innovative design solution.
