Job Description – Senior Data & AI Platform Manager

Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, Physics or a related field.

10+ years of proven record in the field of data and analytics
-
5+ years of experience managing a team of engineers
-
Commercially savvy with a strong understanding of how to align data initiatives with business objectives
-
Strong Vendor Management governing the deliverables and solutions
-
Customer-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Proactive, self-motivated and able to work in a very dynamic environment
-
Strong retail background is mandatory
-
Green or Brown field Data Lake implementation is mandatory
-
Good spoken and written communication skills in English
What will you do?
The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:

Analyze the business needs and recommend data-driven strategies to enhance internal operations and decision-making

Assess and introduce Data / AI/ML products and technologies that align with business goals

Identify opportunities to maximize the commercial value of data

Lead and Support the implementation of GCP, Big Query based Lakehouse implementation

Oversee and evolve the existing data architecture into a highly scalable and efficient base for Advanced analytics and AI use cases for business

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our data and AI platforms

Develop and implement best practices for data and AI platform engineering, including version control, testing, and deployment

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in data and AI
-
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data and AI needs and design solutions that meet those needs
-
Ensure Training and Documentation of data infrastructure, data models and workflows are adequately created and maintained
-
Ensure SLA for 2nd & 3rd level support for business is managed
