Job Description

As Senior Analyst- US Regulation and Compliance, you will support compliance and regulatory monitoring for credit decisioning processes across the United States. The role will focus on understanding, tracking, and interpreting federal and state-level regulations impacting lending, underwriting, credit policy, adverse actioning, fair lending, and AI/ML-driven credit decisioning systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze US federal and state regulatory requirements related to credit underwriting and lending practices.
  • Track regulatory changes across different US states impacting credit decisioning, consumer disclosures, adverse action notices, fair lending, and model governance.
  • Interpret regulations and provide actionable recommendations to product, risk, compliance, and business teams.
  • Support compliance reviews of underwriting policies, credit models, and decisioning workflows.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of state-wise regulatory requirements and updates.
  • Assist in preparing compliance documentation, audit responses, and regulatory reports.
  • Support fair lending and responsible AI initiatives by identifying regulatory risks in automated decisioning systems.
  • Conduct regulatory research related to CFPB guidance, ECOA, FCRA, UDAAP, state lending laws, and related frameworks.
  • Participate in internal policy creation and compliance governance activities.
  • Create summaries, trackers, and presentations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Skills and Competencies

  • 4–6 years of experience in US banking, fintech, lending compliance, or regulatory analysis.
  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.

 

  • Experience working with US-based banks, NBFCs, fintechs, or lending platforms.

 

  • Familiarity with:
    • ECOA / Regulation B
    • FCRA
    • Fair Lending requirements
    • UDAAP
    • CFPB regulations and guidance
    • State-level consumer lending regulations
    • Adverse Action requirements
    • AI/ML governance in lending (preferred)

 

  • Understanding of underwriting and credit decisioning processes.

 

  • Ability to interpret legal/regulatory language into operational requirements.

 

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
