Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Lead Engineer to drive the strategy, design, and execution of automation in our engineering organization. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for pharmacy applications, APIs, and client-facing workflows
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing
- Validate API responses using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and severity classification in Jira
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and automation engineers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage
- Participate in sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, grooming, retrospectives)
- Contribute to test data setup, environment validation, and pre/post-deployment verification
 Automation Strategy & Architecture
- Define and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy across web and backend services
- Design and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright)
- Establish automation standards, coding guidelines, and best practices across teams
 CI/CD & DevOps Integration

- Implement shift-left testing strategies to catch defects early in the SDLC
- Drive continuous testing practices aligned with agile and DevOps workflows
 Quality Engineering & Reporting
- Define and track key automation metrics — coverage, pass rates, flakiness, execution time, and defect escape rates
- Build dashboards and reports for leadership visibility into test automation health
- Conduct root cause analysis on test failures and drive stability improvements
- Champion quality engineering culture, including non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility)
 Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, providing technical guidance and code reviews
- Partner with development and quality teams to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Act as the single point of contact for all automation-related decisions and escalations
