Job Description

Job Description:
Role Summary

The Project Manager owns end-to-end delivery oversight for the Fortinet EOL programme — driving the plan, governance, and execution across two blended India and Romania pods. This individual is accountable for keeping the parallel upgrade, hardware-refresh, and decommission workstreams on schedule across ~14 weekend cutover windows, managing CAB/change governance, and serving as the primary delivery interface to customer stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•       Own the overall project plan, milestones, and dependencies across discovery, design, pre-build, software upgrade, hardware migration, and decommissioning phases.

•       Coordinate two blended pods (India and Romania) and align onboarding milestones with project phases to avoid resource bottlenecks.

•       Manage the weekend cutover calendar (~14 weekends, 2 pods) and ensure CAB approvals and change windows are secured ahead of execution.

•       Run governance cadences — Working Group, Weekly Status Review, and daily interactions — and report programme status, risks, and issues to customer sponsors.

•       Drive risk and issue management, including change-freeze alignment, rollback readiness, and contingency-buffer planning for Nov–Dec.

•       Track scope (18 firewalls, 9 clusters, 5 DC regions), budget, and the fixed-price commercial baseline; manage payment milestones agreed at SOW stage.

•       Ensure audit-ready documentation (HLD/LLD, As-Built, runbooks, SOPs, RCA) is produced and handed over to the customer operations team.

Required Skills & Experience

•       8+ years of IT project/delivery management, including large-scale network or security infrastructure programmes for BFSI or other regulated enterprises.

•       Proven track record managing data-centre firewall migrations, hardware refresh, and OS upgrade programmes across multiple regions.

•       Strong command of change management and CAB processes, weekend cutover coordination, and rollback/contingency planning.

•       Experience leading distributed, multi-shift global teams (IST + EU/US coverage).

•       Excellent stakeholder management, status reporting, and governance facilitation skills.

•       Working knowledge of Fortinet-based delivery and network security concepts sufficient to challenge estimates and unblock the team.

Certifications (Preferred)

•       PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.

•       Agile/SAFe or ITIL Foundation an advantage.
