Job Title: Junior Engineer (Pitney Bowes Spectrum EDM)
Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Engineer to provide technical support for our Pitney Bowes Spectrum Technology Platform. You will assist in maintaining data quality workflows and Entity Data Management (EDM) processes that consolidate worker data from multiple sources into a single, high-fidelity "Golden Record."
Key Responsibilities
Workflow Monitoring: Monitor Spectrum Technology Platform data flows to ensure successful processing of daily worker updates.
Data Quality Support: Assist in troubleshooting data quality stages such as address validation, name parsing, and deduplication within the Spectrum platform.
Incident Triage: Act as L1/L2 support for integration failures between Workday and the Spectrum hub, documenting issues in Jira.
Data Analysis: Use SQL to query the Spectrum backend database to verify record matching logic and identify why specific records failed "Golden Copy" creation.
Platform Maintenance: Assist senior engineers with Spectrum service restarts, minor configuration changes, and deploying updated data maps.
Documentation: Maintain SOPs for common error codes and recovery procedures for the EDM middleware.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or an Engineering field.
Experience: 1–3 years in software support or data engineering.
Technical Knowledge:Foundational understanding of ETL concepts and data management.
Intermediate proficiency in SQL (Oracle or SQL Server).
Exposure to XML, JSON, and web services (REST/SOAP).
Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset for root cause analysis and excellent communication for status reporting
