Key Responsibilities
• Provide 24×7 L2/L3 operational support across the Oracle database estate
• Manage incidents, problems, and changes within ITIL framework and SLA targets
• Build, configure, and support Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard environments
• Perform performance tuning, capacity management, and workload optimisation
• Execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations from on-prem to Azure IaaS
• Manage RMAN and Commvault-based backup, recovery, and DR drills
• Implement Oracle Database Security including TDE and Native Network Encryption
• Support Oracle APEX (Application Express) configurations at platform level
• Develop automation and self-service tooling using PL/SQL, Python, and Shell
• Engage Oracle and tooling vendors to drive permanent fixes
• Maintain accurate run-state documentation, runbooks, and weekly activity reporting
Required Skills
• 6+ years as Oracle DBA in enterprise managed services environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN
• Hands-on experience across Oracle versions from 8i through 19c
• Oracle Database Security — TDE and Native Network Encryption
• Performance tuning and workload optimisation experience
• PL/SQL, Shell, and Linux scripting proficiency
• Experience with Oracle databases on public cloud (Oracle, AWS, Azure)
• Understanding of core ITIL processes (Incident/Problem/Change)
Preferred Skills
• Telecom or large-enterprise database operations experience
• Commvault and other enterprise backup tooling exposure
• Oracle replication — Golden Gate and storage-based replication
• Oracle 23ai and 26ai exposure
• Oracle Exadata and/or Oracle Database Appliance
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Gen 2 and PaaS DBaaS
• Python scripting and Agile delivery experience
• Storage (NetApp, EMC) and networking (LAN/WAN) awareness

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
