Required Skills & Experience:
• 5–8 years of hands on development experience in C Programming on Linux.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system programming, multi threading, IPC, memory management, and network stacks
• Good understanding of Optical / OTN systems, networking hardware, line cards, data/control plane concepts.
• Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network configuration models (CLI, YANG/Netconf) is a plus
• Experience working on large, distributed, carrier grade systems.
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills in embedded/Linux environments.
Value Added / Preferred Skills:
• Hands on experience with Cisco IOS XR or IOS XE
• Exposure to XR’s distributed architecture, fault tolerant modules, CLI/Netconf configuration workflows, and back end routing mechanisms is a strong plus, given their relevance in Optical/OTN devices such as NCS/ASR.
• Knowledge of optical transport technologies, network management, SMU/ISSU upgrade flows, or distributed system behavior.
• Experience in performance critical or real time systems.
• Familiarity with Python for automation.
