Job Description
Role Overview:
Looking for an experienced Production Support Engineer with strong Mainframe background to handle critical applications in a 24x7 environment. The role involves incident resolution, job monitoring, performance troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ensuring system stability.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor & support business-critical Mainframe applications in production.

Analyze and resolve incidents within defined SLAs; perform root cause analysis.

Handle JCL batch jobs, Cobol program investigations, and system ware log analysis.

Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve recurring issues.

Perform environment checks, health monitoring, and proactive stability improvements.

Create and maintain support documents, SOPs, and knowledge base.

Participate in on-call rotation and weekend deployments as required.

Use Dynatrace and other monitoring tools for performance troubleshooting.

Automate recurring/manual tasks with Unix shell scripts.
Required Skills (Primary)

Mainframe technologies (JCL, COBOL)

System ware / log analysis

Ticketing tools (ServiceNow/JIRA or similar)
Secondary / Good-to-Have Skills

Unix/Linux shell scripting

Dynatrace or other APM tools

Understanding of Java APIs (for interface debugging)

Change/Problem management processes (ITIL knowledge is a plus)

Should be ready to work in All three shifts and Sat/Sun. on Rotation basis.
