Load Balancer Admin (NCS/Job/ 3929)

Role Primarily involves managing, configuring and troubleshooting Citrix NetScaler load-balancer also ensuring the efficient delivery of applications, maintaining high availability, optimizing performance, securing application traffic, supporting enterprise infrastructure, monitoring performance and implementing best practices for load balancing.

Responsibilities:

1.  Configuration and management

• Understanding of NetScaler features like load balancing, content switching, global server load balancing (GSLB) and SSL Offloading.
• Experience with configuring virtual servers, services, and service group
• Knowledge of Citrix NetScaler Licensing and editions,

2.  Network Basics:

• Strong grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and Layer 4/7 concepts.
• Familiarity with Vlans, subnets, routing and switching.
• Experience with troubleshooting network connectivity issue

3.  Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

• Using tools like NetScaler insight c enter logs, and analytics for performance monitoring
• Troubleshooting issue related to service outages, traffic flow and connectivity.
• Analyse logs and metrics to identify and resolve issue.

4.  Automation and Scripting:

• Familiarity with Citrix APIs
• Scripting Knowledge in PowerShell, Python or any automation tools like terraform.

5.  Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, Policies, and procedures.

Key skills and experience required:

• Understanding of NetScaler features like load balancing, content switching, global server load balancing (GSLB) and SSL Offloading.
• Experience with configuring virtual servers, services, and service group
• Knowledge of Citrix NetScaler Licensing and editions,
• Strong grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and Layer 4/7 concepts.
• Familiarity with Vlans, subnets, routing and switching.
• Configuration of SSL certificates (creation, installation, renewal)
• Good understanding of Firewalls (PaloAlto, Checkpoint, ASA)
• Experience in Proxy (bluecoat, Zscaler)
• Hand on experience in DNS

Good understanding of network infrastructure (Routing, Switches)
