Role Overview --
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong skills in SUSE Linux and Microsoft Azure to support SAP environments hosted on Azure Virtual Machines. The role involves infrastructure setup, migration support, and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities --
Administer and manage SUSE Linux systems including installation, patching, and performance tuning
Provision and manage Azure Virtual Machines, storage, and networking components
Perform infrastructure setup and configuration for SAP environments
Support and execute migration activities, including preparation, cutover, and validation
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to OS, storage, and network
Collaborate with SAP Basis and other teams for smooth operations and delivery
Required Skills --
Good experience in Linux administration (SUSE preferred)
Hands-on exposure to Azure infrastructure (VMs, disks, networking)
Experience in migration-related activities
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Good to Have --
Exposure to SAP environments (HANA/Oracle – infra level)
Understanding of high availability/cluster concepts
Scripting knowledge (Shell)
Experience --
6-9 years of experience in Linux/Infrastructure support
Relevant exposure to Azure and Linux migration activities
Note --
Candidates should have practical experience in infrastructure and migration activities. Profiles with only L1/L2 support or limited exposure to Azure will not be suitable.
