Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Java Support Engineer with strong technical and analytical skills to provide production support for critical business applications. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Java, SQL, and Unix, with a solid understanding of incident management and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based applications.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system issues within defined SLAs.

  • Perform incident, problem, and change management activities.

  • Analyze logs, identify root causes, and coordinate fixes with the development team.

  • Execute SQL queries for data validation, issue analysis, and reporting.

  • Manage Unix/Linux-based systems, perform file operations, and monitor background jobs.

  • Participate in application deployments and environment validations.

  • Create and maintain support documentation and knowledge base articles.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Core Java / J2EE.

  • Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).

  • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.

  • Experience in production support, incident management, and application monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Willingness to work in night shifts and support 24x7 environments as required.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in ITIL processes.

  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

  • Familiarity with automation tools or DevOps practices.
