Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer / Technical Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer / Technical Lead with strong expertise in Front Office trading systems, real-time processing, and enterprise-scale financial platforms. The role involves building and enhancing high-performance backend services, React-based UI applications, and event-driven architectures supporting trading, risk, and P&L systems in a fast-paced capital markets environment.

Key Responsibilities

🧠 Core Backend & Architecture

• Develop and enhance enterprise-grade Java-based backend services
• Extend and maintain existing production-grade Java applications (not purely greenfield development)
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems for Front Office trading workloads
• Build event-driven architectures using Kafka for real-time, high-throughput data processing
• Work extensively with Oracle databases, including:
  • Query optimization
  • Performance tuning
  • Reliable data integration and transaction handling

📊 Front Office & Domain Exposure

• Work closely with Front Office systems including Trading, Sales, P&L, and Risk platforms
• Understand and support real-time and end-of-day risk processing workflows
• Exposure to regulatory and risk frameworks (e.g., FRTB exposure concepts)
• Integrate systems across:
  • Upstream trading platforms
  • Downstream risk and reporting systems
  • Market data and analytics engines

🖥️ UI & Full Stack Development

• Build and enhance React.js-based frontend applications
• Develop responsive, high-performance UI components aligned with enterprise UX standards
• Work in full-stack environments where UI and backend changes are tightly coupled
• Ensure seamless integration between frontend (React), backend (Java), and data layers (Oracle)

🔐 Quality, Security & SDLC

• Follow enterprise SDLC standards and secure coding practices
• Ensure solutions pass:
  • Security scans
  • Code quality gates
  • UAT validation cycles
• Design testable, maintainable, and scalable solutions
• Support automation-led development and testing practices

📡 Monitoring, Resilience & Operations

• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
• Build and maintain real-time dashboards and alerting mechanisms
• Ensure production readiness with strong focus on:
  • System resilience
  • Incident detection
  • Operational stability

🚀 Release & Cutover Support

• Support monthly production release cycles
• Participate in soft and hard cutovers across multiple regions/geographies
• Ensure smooth deployment validation and production rollout
• Provide post-release support and issue resolution

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Java enterprise development
• Expertise in Kafka and event-driven architecture
• Solid experience with React.js frontend development
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and database tuning
• Experience in Front Office Capital Markets systems (Trading, Risk, P&L)
• Exposure to real-time and batch risk processing systems
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or banking environments
