About the Role
We are hiring a Mid to Senior HL7 Integration Developer to join our healthcare product development team. This role focuses on building and maintaining HL7-based interfaces and workflows for medical applications, including RIS, PACS, and EHR integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HL7 message transmission, DICOM communication, and healthcare interoperability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain HL7 interfaces (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, etc.)
- Implement DICOM communication workflows for imaging systems
- Parse, transform, and validate HL7 messages using tools like Mirth Connect
- Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to understand integration requirements
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and privacy regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve interface issues across systems
- Document interface specifications and integration workflows
Technical Stack
Primary Skills:
• HL7 v2.x, v3.x, FHIR message formats
• DICOM protocol and image metadata handling
• Mirth Connect or similar integration engines
Secondary Skills:
• Python, JavaScript, Java
• Angular or other frontend frameworks
• Docker, CI/CD tools
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare software development
- Strong understanding of HL7 and DICOM standards
- Experience with integration engines and healthcare messaging workflows
- Familiarity with clinical systems like EHR, RIS, PACS
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
