GitLab SME DevOps CI/CD (NCS/Job/ 3686)

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the GitLab CI/CD SME for build, test, and deployment pipelines
• Analyze and migrate CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins / CloudBees to GitLab CI/CD
• Design and maintain reusable GitLab YAML templates and shared libraries
• Set up and manage GitLab Runners (shared, specific, Kubernetes‑based)
• Implement secure branching strategies, access controls, and approvals
• Integrate GitLab with:
  • SonarQube
  • Nexus / Artifactory
  • Docker, Helm
  • Terraform and cloud services
• Troubleshoot complex CI/CD pipeline failures and performance issues
• Support EKS / Kubernetes‑based deployments
• Work closely with Dev, QA, Infra, and Security teams for onboarding and adoption
• Create SOPs, documentation, and conduct knowledge‑transition sessions
• Provide L2/L3 operational support and governance for CI/CD platforms

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with GitLab CI/CD (YAML pipelines)
• Experience in migrating from Jenkins / CloudBees to GitLab
• Hands‑on with Docker & Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Experience with SonarQube, Nexus, Helm
• Scripting skills: Bash / Python (Groovy is a plus)
• Experience with AWS services used in CI/CD pipelines
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
