Electrical Site Engineer (NCS/Job/ 3496)

An Electrical Site Engineer with 6 years of experience is responsible for executing, supervising, and managing electrical works at construction or industrial sites. The role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day electrical installation activities at the site (HT/LT panels, cable laying, lighting, earthing, etc.)
• Review electrical drawings, layouts, and specifications before execution
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other engineering teams (civil, mechanical)
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and standards
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports
• Handle site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes
• Manage material planning, procurement follow-ups, and inventory at site
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely solutions
• Conduct quality checks and ensure proper documentation (BOQ, as-built drawings, reports)

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems (HT/LT, transformers, panels, DG sets, UPS, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Familiarity with electrical standards and safety regulations (like IS, IEC)
• Good project coordination and team management skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Basic knowledge of tools like AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project tracking software

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• 6+ years of relevant site experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in commercial buildings, residential projects, or industrial plants
• Exposure to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination
• Experience in handling subcontractors and vendors
