DS Lead (NCS/Job/ 3600)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of statistical models, machine learning, and AI solutions (including NLP/LLMs where relevant)

• Apply advanced statistical methods (regression, hypothesis testing, experimental design, longitudinal and time-series analysis)

• Design and conduct empirical testing, model validation, and performance evaluation to ensure robustness and reliability of models

• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to generate actionable insights from clinical and healthcare datasets

• Design and manage data pipelines, preprocessing, and feature engineering for structured and unstructured data

• Partner with engineering teams to deploy models into scalable production environments

• Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders, translating complex analyses into business impact

• Ensure documentation, reproducibility, and adherence to best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s/PhD with 3+ years of experience in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field

• Strong foundation in statistics and biostatistics

• Hands-on experience in machine learning model building and statistical modeling, with a strong emphasis on empirical testing and validation (mandatory)

• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL

• Experience with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch

• Hands-on experience with healthcare or clinical data

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and data platforms (Spark/Databricks)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in clinical trials, real-world evidence (RWE), or epidemiology

• Exposure to NLP, deep learning, or generative AI

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

• Understanding of data governance and regulatory standards in healthcare
