Data Science Lead (NCS/Job/ 2881)

We are seeking a Data Science Lead / Senior Advisor with deep expertise in Machine Learning and Generative AI technologies to lead advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions. This role requires hands-on technical excellence combined with strategic leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end AI initiatives, especially in LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), NLP, and Agentic AI systems, while guiding teams toward scalable and business-aligned AI solutions.

Primary Skills (Mandatory)

• Machine Learning – Supervised/unsupervised models, model evaluation, optimization
• Generative AI – Prompt engineering, fine-tuning, foundation model integration
• Large Language Models (LLMs) – Open-source and enterprise LLMs, orchestration, inference optimization
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) – Vector databases, embedding strategies, document pipelines
• Natural Language Processing (NLP) – Text classification, information extraction, sentiment analysis
• Agentic AI – Multi-agent systems, autonomous workflows, tool-using AI agents
• Technical Leadership – Design reviews, mentoring senior/junior data scientists, solution ownership

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of ML and GenAI solutions aligned with business objectives
• Architect and implement LLM-driven applications, including RAG and Agentic AI frameworks
• Guide teams on model selection, evaluation, and optimization best practices
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders on AI strategy
• Establish governance, ethics, and responsible AI practices
• Review and validate solution designs, ensuring scalability and performance
• Mentor data science teams and act as a technical advisor for leadership

Leadership & Advisory Expectations

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Data Science and GenAI initiatives
• Provide strategic guidance on AI adoption and roadmap planning
• Influence decision-making at architecture and leadership levels
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging AI/ML trends and tools

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Machine Learning and NLP
• Proven expertise in LLMs, RAG architectures, and Generative AI systems
• Experience building or advising on Agentic AI solutions
• Demonstrated leadership or advisory experience in data science teams
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts into business value

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI platforms, vector databases, and model orchestration frameworks
• Exposure to MLOps / LLMOps workflows
• Background in enterprise-scale AI deployments
