Job Description – Data Engineer

Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, Physics or a related field.
Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Database, and PostgreSQL.
Must have experience with Oracle Autonomous Database or Oracle Database and strong Oracle SQL.
Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
Hands-on experience in performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting Oracle databases.
Proficient in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Proactive, self-motivated and able to work in a very dynamic environment.
Good spoken and written communication skills in English.

What will you do?

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his/her superior:

Lead and manage the end-to-end ETL/ELT process for data migration from Azure PostgreSQL to Oracle Autonomous Database.
Own and maintain data patching processes and ensure ETL pipelines are updated accordingly.
Understand the database structure of the internal ERP system hosted in Azure PostgreSQL to support accurate data extraction and transformation.
Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake storage.
Ensure data integrity, quality, and security throughout the migration and transformation lifecycle.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance of Oracle Autonomous Database to ensure optimal efficiency.
Collaborate with application developers and IT teams to implement scalable and secure database solutions.
Document and maintain detailed data engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and business requirements.
Ensure SLA for 2nd & 3rd level support for business is managed.
