Job Description – Data Architect

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Informatics, Engineering, Physics or a related field.

• Proven experience and strong expertise with Data modeling, SQL, GCP, metadata tools, data governance frameworks.

• Proficient in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.

• Strategic Thinking, Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work in a very dynamic environment.

• Good spoken and written communication skills in English.

What will you do?

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:

• Design/Develop and maintain the overall data architecture including databases, data warehouses and data lakes and new data sources.

• Work with DGO to ensure execution of policies, procedures and standards.

• Work with CIO to take provide inputs on identifying tools and platforms for effective data management.

• Document/maintain the enterprise data architecture, database design.

• Provide technical guidance to data engineers.

• Document metadata, including data definitions, sources, and usage.

• Maintain and update metadata along with data engineering team.

• Get understanding of new requirements for making changes in the architecture/data flow/database design/data pipeline updation.

• Understand prevalent data quality issues and enforce controls to rectify them.

• Work with the data engineering team to remediate data quality issues.

• Enforce access rights and security levels for data elements.
