Data Analyst (NCS/Job/ 2937)

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Data Analyst with strong analytical skills and hands‑on experience in the Healthcare domain. The ideal candidate should be proficient in SQL, data mapping, and have working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). The role involves analyzing healthcare datasets, building data mappings, supporting data integration processes, and generating insights for business and clinical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Data Analysis

• Analyze healthcare datasets including claims, EHR/EMR, clinical, encounter, and patient data.
• Perform data profiling, identify data quality gaps, and highlight inconsistencies.
• Work with stakeholders to understand healthcare data requirements, workflows, and KPIs.

Data Mapping & Documentation

• Create and maintain data mapping documents between source and target systems.
• Map healthcare formats such as HL7, FHIR, CCD, X12, EDI to internal data models.
• Develop detailed documentation for data transformations, validation rules, and business logic.

SQL & Cloud-Based Data Work

• Write advanced SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
• Support ETL/ELT development teams by providing accurate data specifications and mapping logic.
• Work with cloud-based environments (AWS Redshift/S3, Azure Synapse/Data Lake, GCP BigQuery) for data analysis and validation.

Reporting & Insights

• Build dashboards and analytical insights for clinical, operational, and business teams.
• Collaborate with BI teams using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker (optional but preferred).
• Present findings in a clear and actionable format.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations, analytical functions).
• Hands-on experience with data mapping and documenting source-to-target transformations.
• Working experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Good understanding of healthcare datasets: claims, eligibility, provider, member, clinical data.
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT, DRG.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and communicate insights effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare data quality frameworks and validation processes.
• Exposure to ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Matillion, DBT, Airflow).
• Experience working with FHIR APIs or interoperability frameworks.
• Knowledge of BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
