Job Description:
We are looking for a QA Engineer specializing in Mobile Applications (iOS and Android) with experience validating both application functionality and analytics instrumentation.

This role will focus on ensuring the quality and stability of mobile applications while also validating event tracking, SDK integrations, and data collection used by digital analytics and customer data platforms (CDPs).

The QA Engineer will work closely with mobile developers, analytics engineers, product managers, and marketing technology teams to ensure that both application features and analytics implementations are functioning correctly across mobile environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mobile testing, automation testing frameworks, and validating analytics events using tools such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, or CDP platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Application QA

• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms
• Validate application behavior across different devices, OS versions, and screen sizes
• Execute test cases for new feature releases and bug fixes
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems
• Validate mobile builds across development, staging, and production environments
• Ensure application performance, usability, and stability across devices

Analytics & Event Tracking Validation

• Validate mobile analytics implementations and event tracking instrumentation
• Verify events, parameters, and user attributes being captured from mobile apps
• Validate analytics implementations across tools such as:

• GA4
• Adobe Analytics
• Mixpanel
• mParticle
• Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)

• Inspect network calls and SDK payloads to validate event firing and data accuracy
• Validate identity fields, session tracking, and user properties
• Ensure correct data flow from mobile apps to downstream CDP, analytics, and marketing platforms

Automation Testing

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for mobile application testing
• Support implementation of mobile test automation frameworks using tools such as:

• Appium
• Selenium
• TestNG
• XCTest / Espresso (optional)

• Contribute to automation for regression testing and smoke testing
• Integrate automation tests within CI/CD pipelines

Technical QA & Debugging

• Validate SDK integrations and API responses within mobile applications
• Debug network requests, API responses, and analytics payloads
• Use tools such as Charles Proxy, Postman, Firebase DebugView, or browser dev tools for troubleshooting
• Assist in identifying root causes for issues related to application behavior or analytics tracking

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with mobile developers, product teams, and analytics engineers
• Participate in sprint planning, QA reviews, and release validation cycles
• Create and maintain test cases, QA documentation, and validation processes
• Support release readiness and production validation for mobile app updates

Required Qualifications

• 3–6 years of QA experience, including mobile application testing
• Hands-on experience testing iOS and Android mobile applications
• Experience with mobile testing tools and device compatibility testing
• Understanding of mobile application development lifecycle and Agile environments
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with automation testing frameworks (Appium, Selenium, or similar)

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience validating digital analytics implementations (GA4, Adobe Analytics)
• Exposure to Customer Data Platforms (mParticle, Adobe Experience Platform, Segment, Mixpanel)
• Experience validating analytics SDK instrumentation in mobile apps
• Understanding of event tracking, user attributes, and data layer concepts
• Experience debugging network requests and JSON payloads
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
