Product & Service Optimization Engineer – Technology Information Security Office – Cyber Technology Strategy & Architecture
Your role

We’re after a passionate optimization engineer with a knack for unraveling complexity and a passion for transforming chaos into clear, efficient solutions. We’re looking for a lean-minded change driver to join our Cyber Technology team, a department that’s ready to be supported in making breakthroughs. Here, you'll enable teams to bring efficiency to their workflows and enable them to add greater value to the organization, improve automation through collaboration and clear definition, and lead in a culture of measurable impact and customer-centricity.
We’re looking for a Product & Service Optimization Engineer to:
• Proficiency in Python, automation technologies, Microsoft Power Platform, AI applications and Prompt Engineering, including Copilot Studio.
• Obsessed with efficiency, with the ability to deliver high-quality results at pace.
• Deep understanding of customer needs, hypothesis-driven development, and experimentation.
• Open-minded, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Collaborate with internal customers to understand impediments and improvements, enable their success via your engineering excellence.
• Display thought-leadership around the use of emerging technology, incorporate in your solutions and educate others as to benefits realised.

Development & Insights
• Using a systematic, repeatable process for problem solving and translating solutions to code.
• Identify key value areas and metrics (Evidence Based Management) which reflects work, quality, speed, and customer satisfaction, allowing the team to measure and celebrate progress.
• Promote findings of simpler ways of working through use of new technologies available. Apply those to new, and existing services, interactions and delivery
Customer-Centric Value Creation
• Establish regular touchpoints with customers to gather feedback, prioritize pain points, and deliver solutions that increase engagement and satisfaction.
• Enable a framework for transparency input to available dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Blueprint, Power BI) increase accessibility of insights for all – teams and customers alike
Collaborative Culture & Ownership
• Foster a culture where team members take ownership of processes and outcomes, encouraging proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Instill transparent communication practices across the department, promoting openness about challenges and creating a forum for sharing wins and learning from experiments
Your team
Cyber Technology Strategy & Architecture is a critical part of Technology Information Security Office (TISO) which is responsible for the technical aspects of our cyber and information security at UBS. Our internal customers include Strategy and Architecture for the whole of TISO, and technology services for Cyber Hygiene, Cyber Defense and Chief Information Security Office (CISO).

Your expertise
You can - architect, develop, and optimize complex systems and applications that enhance performance and scalability for both internal teams and customers.
You have - sharp analytical approach for identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that deliver tangible, measurable improvements.
You will - explore innovative technologies and methodologies to streamline the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring maximum efficiency.
You want - to promote collaboration, drive engagement, and cultivate a unified vision within the engineering team.
You are - motivated by solving challenging problems, eliminating inefficiencies, and passionate about leading transformative change.
• Bachelor's/master's or equivalent with a focus in Information Technology or related field
• Experience in Python, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Automation technology, Prompt Engineering, Visual communication and at a large, fast scale would be advantageous
• Strategic thinker and excellent communicator, able to coach, lead and convince
• Are excited about discovering how to use emerging technologies in new and innovative ways
