Job Description:
Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Integration Developer to build and deliver the integration / middleware tier (“CB2B”) that connects an enterprise GenAI assistant platform (the “Business Application”) with Salesforce Service Cloud. Working under the Integration Architect, you will design, build, and test REST and event-driven integrations on IBM webMethods — exposing Salesforce case data to the assistant and routing AI-generated responses back into Salesforce, with strong attention to security, reliability, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

•     Build and configure integration flow services and REST APIs on IBM webMethods (iPaaS) — developing ~2–3 new APIs and replicating/amending ~7 existing APIs.

•     Implement inbound response routing and orchestration between the Business Application and Salesforce (request/response and event-driven).

•     Develop event-driven (publish/subscribe) interfaces using Kafka topics, including filtering and routing rules.

•     Build Salesforce integration adapters for read operations (case query, case team, outage data) and write operations (ticket creation, problem-case creation, knowledge-article submission) via standard Salesforce APIs.

•     Define and implement canonical schemas / document types, payload validation, and data transformation and mapping (JSON / XML).

•     Implement security: OAuth 2.0, API-key / token management, named credentials, and end-to-end security-group / access enforcement.

•     Build robust error handling, retry / dead-letter, idempotency for write operations, logging, and monitoring.

•     Support System Integration Testing (SIT), defect triage and fixing, code movement across environments, and post-go-live hypercare.

•     Follow the integration standards, guardrails, and design-review gates set by the Integration Architect, and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Must-Have Skills

•     IBM webMethods — 5+ years hands-on (Integration Server, Flow services, Designer, adapters, publish/subscribe messaging).

•     API development — strong REST and SOAP / Web Services design and build.

•     Event-driven architecture — messaging and streaming with Kafka (or equivalent).

•     Data handling — transformation and mapping; XML / JSON; schema / document-type design and validation.

•     Salesforce integration — REST / Bulk APIs, awareness of objects and API governor limits (integrating with Salesforce, not necessarily building on-platform).

•     Security — OAuth 2.0, API keys / tokens, TLS, named credentials.

•     Reliability patterns — error handling, retry / dead-letter, idempotency, logging and monitoring.

•     Testing — solid debugging plus SIT and defect-resolution experience.

Good-to-Have Skills

•     iPaaS / API-gateway exposure; MCP or agentic integration patterns.

•     Salesforce platform basics (Apex, Platform Events, Knowledge).

•     CI/CD and Git for integration artifacts; environment promotion.

•     Observability tooling and correlation-ID / end-to-end tracing.

•     Exposure to GenAI / LLM integration, or telecom / networking domain.

•     Agile / Scrum delivery.

Soft Skills

•     Works independently under architectural guidance, with strong ownership of deliverables.

•     Clear communicator across cross-functional teams (Salesforce, Business Application, QA).

•     Disciplined on documentation (interface specifications, runbooks).

•     Proactive in surfacing risks and dependencies.

Qualifications

•     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

•     IBM webMethods certification is an advantage.
