Business (IT) Project Manager (NCS/Job/ 3467)

Key Responsibilities

Project Initiation & Planning

• Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, milestones, and delivery schedules
• Ensure alignment between project outcomes and business strategy

Stakeholder & Governance Management

• Act as the primary point of accountability for project delivery
• Manage senior stakeholders, vendors and governance forums
• Provide clear, timely reporting on progress, risks, and dependencies
• Facilitate effective decision‑making and issue resolution

Delivery Execution & Control

• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including vendors to deliver agreed outcomes
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to manage dependencies and constraints
• Ensure delivery to agreed quality, scope, and timelines

Financial, Risk & Issue Management

• Own and manage the project budget and forecasts
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
• Maintain RAID logs and ensure proactive resolution

Business Outcomes & Change Support

• Focus delivery on achieving defined business benefits and outcomes
• Work with Business Change and Operations teams to support adoption
• Track delivery success against agreed measures and benefits

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience delivering business‑led or transformation products.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Excellent planning, organisation, and delivery control capability
• Experience managing budgets, risks, and governance processes
• Ability to translate business objectives into executable delivery plans

Qualifications (Desirable)

• Degree in Business, Management, or related discipline
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent)
• Experience in regulated or complex business environments advantageous
