Azure Fabric Data Engineer (NCS/Job/ 2573)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Azure Fabric Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, ETL processes, and cloud-based analytics services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Spark, and Python for ingestion, transformation, and loading of data.
• Build and manage ETL/ELT processes to consolidate data from multiple sources into OneLake, Lakehouse, or other Fabric components.
• Monitor and fine-tune data workflows for efficiency and scalability, including troubleshooting Spark internals and optimizing SQL queries on Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with privacy regulations throughout the data lifecycle.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to gather requirements and deliver actionable data solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and follow best practices for modular code, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10 years in data engineering with at least 5 years on Azure Cloud and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric components.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Familiarity with Power BI and BI concepts.
• Data modeling, data warehousing, ETL, data governance, and structured/unstructured data handling.
• Preferred: Microsoft certifications (Azure Data Engineer Associate or Microsoft Fabric), experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and data mesh/fabric concepts.
