Android App Developer (NCS/Job/ 1705)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications for automotive infotainment and connected car platforms.
• Work with Android frameworks (AOSP, HAL, SDKs) to customize features for the automotive environment.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and libraries to enhance in-vehicle applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, Embedded, QA, and Automotive Architects) to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and resource usage for embedded/automotive hardware.
• Ensure compliance with automotive-grade standards (MISRA, ASPICE, ISO 26262, cybersecurity guidelines).
• Debug, test, and resolve issues related to Android apps in automotive environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of new Android/automotive technologies.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in Android application development (Java/Kotlin).
• Hands-on experience with Android Studio, SDK, Gradle, and debugging tools.
• Experience in automotive infotainment systems (IVI), connected car apps, or Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
• Good understanding of Android lifecycle, services, background tasks, and inter-process communication.
• Knowledge of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Media, Telephony, CAN bus, or other automotive communication protocols.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
